The Southwest
Trek to the Four Corners
February 16-24, 2002
Stacia and Kylie both had been wanting this trip for almost a year... even given the choice between this and Disneyland, they chose the Southwest. I hope they're remember it fondly.
I'm writing this months later (in May, on Kylie's birthday), so I'm not likely to say a whole lot. You'll get lots of pictures and a little bit of commentary.
| Flagstaff Area |
It was cold in the area, it even
snowed when we were here. We visited:

| The Grand Canyon | It
was still snowing when we visited the Grand Canyon...
|
||||||||
| The Four Corners | We
left the snow, but it still was windy and cold. The Four
Corners was a bust, but at least they saw it!
Also, we drove through Monument Valley. I wish I hadn't been driving, I sure would've been able to seem more. In the end, it was a big day of driving... we were all tired. |

| Glen Canyon & Lake Powell |
We
had a fun day visiting the dam and going to the beach.
It'd have been better if I hadn't gotten stuck. (There's
a story here, if you remember, ask me about it.)

Really, any of these locations could have been the entire vacation... I'll call this the sampler vacation. Now I know better where to come back to. :)
