Oroville Summer
Four kids push a dock
into the water wondering
if the dock will float.
They jump off
like dolphins in air--
a perfect dive.
Ghost
I drive along the road
like a barrel rolling down a hill.
A white owl flies by the car.
I unroll the window and gasp--
like looking at whales in the night
sea.
