CLC*

The following song was written and performed by Seasonal Ranger, Joe Reyman at various regular gatherings for several years following the 1975 Crater Lake Water Crisis (see June through August 1975 entries,)

C LC* by B. M. loosen

Kaopectate, Pepto Bismo,
And lots of soft T.P.
It came out of the top and came out the bottom
I was struck by the CLC*

First there was ten and then there was twenty
And then about thousand more
Standing in line, waiting their turn
To get to the bathroom door.

Some thought the food, others thought the flu
And water was the rumor of the day,
But it they all said it was O.K.

They brought in doctors, they brought in nurses
They brought in engineers to
They thought we had exotic disease They thought it was something new.

They worked here very long
They came up with a cure
Said to get well right away
"Quit drinking out of our sewer".

The experts said there's critters in the water
Of every shape and size
And I believe what they have to say
Cause experts don't tell lies.

I said I do my best

They handed me a little bitty box
I said in this would be a mess.

When heading home in September
Enjoy your life, enjoy your love
And enjoy your bowel movements.

The moral of this story
And my song comes to an end
If you've eaten something once already
Don't eat it all over again.

Kaopectate, Pepto Bismo
And lots of soft T.P.
It came out of the top, a came out of the bottom
I was struck by the CLC*
