Winter Volunteers at the Rim Desk

I am very happy with The Friends efforts to staff the Winter Rim Desk. The Friends of Crater Lake were successful this winter staffing the Winter Information Desk at Crater Lake every weekend it was open. Next winter's volunteering has yet to be determined. The need for Friends Volunteering at the Rim will depend on the speed of the rehabilitation of the buildings at the Rim village.

Adopt a Highway

Last month I renewed the Friends Adopt-a-Highway Permit for 3 more years with the Oregon Department of Transportation. The next scheduled clean ups are Saturday, June 25 before the 4^th of July weekend, and Sunday, August 28 at the end of the Friends Summer Project Weekend. Watch for the Adopt-a-Highway sign when visiting Crater Lake on the South Entrance from Fort Klamath.
