Fashion Makeup Class

Here are some photos from our 6 week fashion photographic makeup class. In this class, we learn how to do ordinary, everyday beauty makeup, evening fashion makeup, photographic makeup for color and black & white, period makeup styles, bridal makeup, runway makeup, and fun fashion looks like geisha, and drag makeup.

In the class, we practice our makeup on other members of the class, as well as the occasional high school student group that comes through.

Above, Heather is in an Evening makeup.

To the right, Tanya is in a makeup that is designed to look good in black & white or in color.

Sandi is in a makeup designed specifically for black and white photography.

Below are some pictures of a dramatic fantasy makeup I did on Sandi.

Because we have 6 guys in the class, we don't always get to do our beauty looks on pretty women.

To the left, the lovely Matt is wearing a "porn queen" makeup design.

To the right, the beautiful Andrew

is in an evening makeup look. He'd be much more glamorous without the scruffy beard stubble.

Here's a makeup I did on a girl from a student group. This was a practice for one of my photo shoots.

We had 4 photo shoots in fashion photographic makeup. We had modeling students that we got to choose from for our pictures. I chose two models and two students from our class.

Here's Sandi again in the makeup and hair style I did for my black and white photo shoot.

Hopefully I will be able to get pictures of the other three models online soon.

After we finished our photo shoot days we had our written and practical exams. We also learned Drag makeup and geisha makeup.

Here is Mark in a drag makeup applied by Dino (who has performed in drag shows, done a zillion drag makeups, and even written a book on how to do drag)

And of course, here's the picture everyone wanted to see. This is me in a makeup that is supposed to look like a Victoria's Secret ad. Luckily I didn't have to wear the lingerie.

I must admit I looked more glamorous on other days… but I think Marie did a pretty good job on this makeup.
