I've always said I would have married M. the moment I met her, and we've always wanted children. But we're two women and that complicates things. Fourteen years, one commitment ceremony, one legal marriage and eight inseminations later, we finally have the family we dreamed of.

Okay, I am honestly kind of upset now that we never did betas, because I have no earthly CLUE what these numbers mean... but I'll take it from you that it's good news! I'm always someone who enjoys to see others in delightful agony, so I vote for twins.

My friend with twins said her numbers (and those of most twin moms) tripled rather than doubled.... just sayin'. Then again, maybe it's just super healthy...? Are you pro twins?
Can't claim to know much about betas but sounds like the numbers are climbing quickly, which I gather is what you want. What would you think of twins? Personally, I'd love em, though M is terrified by the idea! ;-)

All the work,frustrations, and heartache are about to pay off! after TTC for 10 yrs myself, I sit here typing w/ my beautiful baby boy in my lap!!!! yeah for good numbers! and maybe yeah for twins (depends on your perspectives)? i thought twins sounded great (2 babies, 1 shot, done deal, done with ttc) until we got this one. i'm not sure /i'm/ strong enough for that, but i'll be very excited for you guys if this is the case. can't wait now for the first scan!! (and even if it's just a nice, high beta, congrats on the sticky bean)

When do you get to find out for sure how many there are in there?
We heard crazyhigh betas on a Friday afternoon and knew that 3 of my eggs had looked good on insem days. For the whole weekend we freaked out about the possibility of triplets. Happily, we got an u/s on Monday and there was only Noah in there.
I am not sure if I saw this somewhere or not but when is your first appointment as in when they can do an ultrasound and all? Mine is August 30, 2006 that would be 9wks for me. This week is week 5 which week are you guys on?
