The Power of the Media |

Media |
Crank to call any Media card. Crank any time to add +1 to an attack vs. a Media Character. |
Mainstream media is a high-tech means to an age-old end: control. By manipulating readers, listeners, and viewers on very deep emotional and archetypal levels, the controllers of the media can enforce “appropriate” behavior on a mass scale. Early experiments in promoting consumerism paved the way for more sinister programming.

Secret |

Slacker |
Crank any time to make one Character Immune: Media or Immune: Control. Crank any time to add +1 to any attack vs. a Slacker. |
The Slackers take their name from the demographic label assigned them by what they call “The Media Conspiracy.” They are a band of mostly young, freedom-loving people who delight in finding creative means of resisting Control. They use the media's perception of them as apathetic and aimless to their advantage, striking by surprise and (mostly) getting away with it. More than anything else, they love turning the methods of control against their masters.
