Gabriella Sabatini Gabriella Sabatini is undoubtedly my favorite women's tennis player, although, to be honest this is due as much to the fact that I think she's gorgeous as to the quality of her tennis (which is/was exceptional, to be sure). Gabriella came onto the scene in 1985, and won the US Open in 1990 at the age of 19. After that, Gabriella consistently ranked around the top 10 among women players, but never seemed to be able to win a grand slam event. The primary reason for this was Steffi Graf. This was a great rivalry that Steffi seemed to win most of the time. Gabriella retired from professional tennis in 1996, I think. Among other things, Gabriella has a brand of perfume called Magnetic, and I think she has a line of clothing as well.
