The Matchmaker is a formulaic romantic comedy with Janeane as a political assistant who travels
to Ireland to find her sleazy senator's "roots" and finds herself in the middle of a match-making festival.
Also in the movie is Denis Leary who plays the sleazy senator's sleazy spin doctor.
I actually enjoyed this movie, if only because Janeane was in it. I love the fact that Janeane stars in and
gets top billing in this movie, and she definitely gives a good performance. But, in general, I think the movie
will mostly appeal to women and Garofalo fans.
