Perhaps my favorite character actor is Morgan Freeman. A main reason for this is because of his voice. Morg's got that voice of profound wisdom. He could say to you "I'm sorry, but I have to cut your balls off with these hedge clippers..." and make it sound reasonable. If they ever bring back the old "In Search Of..." television series, Morg should be the host and narrator.

But, Morgan is also a great actor. My favorite movies with him are Seven and The Shawshank Redemption. He was also in Chain Reaction with Keanu Reeves (dude!). While the movie was mediocre at best, it was interesting to see Morgan play one of those super-secret government conspirators that the X-Files are so fond of.
