Anna Kournikova Anna Kournikova is another young and fast-rising talent in the women's circuit of professional tennis. A year younger than Martina Hingis, she seems to have a personality as fiery as Martina's is cool -- a contrast which makes tennis enthusiasts anticipate the rivalry all the more. Unfortunately, caught just under an age restriction which limited the number of tournaments she could enter, her playing time was minimal over the last year (ironically, Hingis just made it over the age restriction, allowing her to play in an unlimited number of tournaments). Nevertheless, with increased play and more experience, many believe that Anna may have a legitimate shot at the #1 ranking, sometime in the future.
