Smilometer

I realize that when you are surfin' the Web, you aren't always in the mood to wade through someone's serious diatribe, or conversely, someone's inane rantings. Thus, to help you decide whether or not you want to spend any time at a particular site, each site in the Land of the Lostboy has been rated on the Smilometer.

In the upper righthand will be one of five smileys. These icons will let you know just what you will be getting yourselves into, should you decide to stay and peruse that site, according to the following scale:

Smiley	Seriousness	Meaning
	Not	There is no socially redeeming value in the content in this site. Take everything said with a big grain of salt. No refunds, no guarantees, no parking. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, ya know.
	Barely	The content may touch on serious matters, but it's mostly all blow. Have fun and don't worry too much about it.
	Somewhat	This content may either be a light-hearted look at serious matters, or a serious look at unimportant/irrelevent stuff. Most of the recreational sites in the Land are rated Somewhat serious.
	Mostly	Okay, this is important stuff, but is hopefully presented in a fun yet thought-provoking manner.
	Very	All kidding aside, this is where I launch into serious discourse about certain issues and ideas. These things tend to be intense and long (there are some questions that cannot be answered in 25 words or less). If you're up for a real look at what I think, I invite and encourage you to read through these sites and e-mail me your thoughts (I will usually include a link to my e-mail address somewhere in these sites as feedback is important, in these cases).
