On 6 Apr 1797 James married Agness "Nancy" McKamey [75], daughter of Robert McKamey Sr. (-bef May 1811) & Rosanna McConnell (-bef Apr 1815), in Mercer Co., Kentucky. [77] Born in 1771. Agness "Nancy" died in 1849 in Missouri.

Abt 1792 Margaret (Peggy) married Abram Irvine Jr. [84], son of Abram Irvine (May 1725-1801) & Mary Dean (22 Feb 1733-Apr 1814). Born on 8 Aug 1766 in Virginia. Abram died in Boyle Co., Kentucky, on 16 Jan 1850; he was 83. Buried aft 16 Jan 1850 in Caldwell and Irvine Family Graveyard, Boyle Co., Kentucky.
