Bethon is a collection of Python modules for BeOS. It supports the Be API, including graphics and other functions.
Bethon does not include Python. You need to install Python yourself, either from source from the Python site or from BeBits. Bethon comes as source, so you can build it for your PPC or Intel platform. I use it on both.
Along with this distribution you will also find some sample programs that don't do anything useful, and a program called pynr that I use all the time. It's an IMAP mail reader and NNTP news reader.

In addition to my humble efforts, some of the Bethon modules were written by Peter Kropf and Matthew Schinckel.
