How
do I read Internet newsgroups?
Note
that you must be dialed up to Drizzle to read newsgroups;
you cannot read them if you are on a LAN (unless the LAN
itself is dialed up to Drizzle) or dialed up to another
ISP.
If
you are using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, you
can use it to read newsgroups. Check the Help functions
of these browsers for more information. Note that the news
server for Drizzle is "news.drizzle.com".
If
you are running a Telnet or SSH connection to Drizzle,
you can
use the UNIX "tin" command to read Internet newsgroups.
If you find that all of your newsgroups are empty, type
"rtin", and they will be recreated for you.
To
save space, Drizzle does not provide access to every
newsgroup.
However, if you want to read a newsgroup that we don't
offer, just send us
e-mail
and we can request that it be added.
