"My ISP just went belly up, and my connection is dead. I need my DSL connection for my business!"

"I'm being pressured by my DSL provider to transfer to an ISP that I don't want. How can I switch to Drizzle?"

"How quickly can Drizzle get me back up? Can Drizzle get me back up?"

It can be very stressful to find out that the Internet connection you believed was established and stable is suddenly dead due to no fault of your own. Or that the account you set up with one carefully selected company is now being migrated to another company without your consent.

We'd like to help.

Drizzle Internet isn't going anywhere...we just painted the office! We don't advertise, so our growth curve is steady and strong, fueled almost solely by the recommendations of our satisfied customers. We're happy to be a small, sturdy company, and we're not looking to merge with any corporate giants. We would love to be your new ISP, and we'll work to make that feeling mutual.

If you have not had a previous DSL account with Qwest, go to our DSL Qualification page, and we'll call or e-mail you with the results. If your phone line qualifies for Qwest DSL, we'd love to be your ISP.

If you currently have DSL with Qwest, and Qwest or another company is/was providing your ISP service, Drizzle should be able to be your ISP, and help shepherd you through your transfer.

In either case, these are the steps of the process:

1. Call us and let us know that you'd like to initiate/transfer your ISP service to Drizzle.

2. We'll help the process along by making a three-way call with you to Qwest, either to set up an account for you, or to initiate the transfer process. Qwest should give us a date on which your ISP service will be active/transferred to Drizzle.

3. Once we have that wiring date, we'll set up an account for you here at Drizzle. We do not charge you anything for your DSL until your circuit is up and active with us. If you need an Internet connection before your DSL connection is ready, we can probably activate an interim dialup account for you.

4. Important: If you are transferring to Drizzle as an ISP after receiving DSL through another company, your DSL modem is probably in PPP mode instead of the Bridging mode in which it needs to be to work with us. We will provide you with instructions for reconfiguring your modem. You must reconfigure your DSL modem before your Qwest transfer date so we can get you up and connected as efficiently as possible.

If you have been using your DSL modem to network computers, this change to Bridging mode may affect that setup. Please let us know if this is the case so we can suggest some networking alternatives.

5. On the transfer/wiring date that Qwest assigned you, call us for the information that you need to make your connection work through Drizzle. If this is a new account, we should have your info ready that morning. If you are transferring and Qwest had been your ISP, you'll probably see your Internet connection go down that morning. We'll do everything in our power to get you back up by that evening.

And that's how it usually goes. We think you'll find working with Drizzle refreshing, because we stick with you until it works.
